The Engineering Data Governance (EDG) Team within Siemens Energy GSO is looking for a data-oriented employee with previous knowledge or a strong willingness to learn with regards to the power plant market. We are looking for a resource that will validate, maintain and evaluate the data of the relevant, serialized gas turbine parts and to possibly support in other areas such as unit operating & outage data.
Serialized parts tracking data and Fleet operating & outage data, and the statistics derived from that data are a foundational data set leveraged by the organization for many reasons such as ensuring Siemens Energy is providing the right products and services to continuously improve the in-market availability of our customers’ assets. The EDG organization provides a link between Siemens Energy and its customers by collecting, validating, analyzing, and reporting out unit and fleet operating statistics. The high quality of our data is an essential enabler to being a successful Data Driven Company.
Your new role – challenging and future-oriented:
- You will be working closely with our teams in Berlin, Mulheim (both Germany) and Orlando (US) to ensure Serialized Tracked Parts are properly documented in the system of record and that the data correctly flows to downstream applications.
- You will make sure that the reported data aligns with standards and ensure the data is validated, coded and entered correctly into the database. This position is based in Gurgaon/Gurugram (India).
We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:
- Working knowledge of power plants – specifically gas turbines is desired
- Ability to interpret/validate serialized parts tracking datasheets is required
- Familiarity with SAP is a plus
- Familiarity with IEEE 762 desired but not required
- Familiarity with (data from) FDM or USI is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability/willingness to learn
- Demonstrates focus on quality and continuous improvement
- Good analytical and organizational skills (e.g. validating data from multiple sources)
- Ability to develop good working relationships
- Open minded global collaboration skills and the willingness to work across borders
- Effective verbal & written communication in English.
