Change world of tomorrow with us.

Our Siemens business unit Motion Control (DI MC) is one of the world's leading providers of products, systems, solutions, and services in the field of Motion Control. This includes around 20,000 employees and the four business segments. With its global production sites, R&D, and service locations, MC is close to its customers and at home in a wide range of industries. At our factory network Siemens AG develops and manufactures electric motors for the global market. Our target customers are in the field of automation technology, in the automotive industry and in the field of intra-logistics.

We are planning to expand our Oradea plant into an even larger, modern, and more powerful Siemens Mechatronic Competence Center! This isn’t just an expansion; it is a true transformation. As part of this strategic business development, we will be building a brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing area in Oradea. This new space will integrate critical parts of our production and associated support functions, creating a unified, high-performance hub for mechatronic expertise within Siemens.

Oradea will become one of Siemens’ key competence centers, with new colleagues joining us, new technologies being implemented, and new capabilities strengthening our overall footprint.

Join our Quality team as a Supplier Quality Engineer

This will be your impact:

  • As part of your job, you will actively shape the development of Supplier Quality Management at the Oradea plant
  • You are responsible for the selection, auditing, qualification, assessment and development of suppliers as well as for the implementation of the supplier strategy.
  • You will be involved in the creation of the business unit's SQM strategy and implement operational measures to ensure and continuously improve supplier quality through consistent supplier qualification and development as well as in the event of escalations (production and field failures).
  • In comparison with the material group, you oversee the assessment, qualification and approval of suppliers, considering possible business risks, in consultation with your manager and the SQM of the lead factory.
  • You are responsible for planning and conducting supplier audits, including monitoring audit measures and preventive quality methods to minimize risks with the supplier.
  • Your tasks include drafting audit plans, data analysis in SAP-QM as well as in customized IT applications (e.g. Celonis, RQPC, SQPC) to optimize inspection processes; you independently coordinate and implement necessary measures within the plant network.
  • You will check and evaluate supplier documents as well as purchased parts according to specifications, if necessary, including the results of internal and external service providers, and review them with specialist departments and suppliers; you will document the results and initiate or consistently follow up on the necessary measures.
  • In case of faulty purchased parts, you will initiate complaints processing with the internal interfaces, take over communication with the supplier and support the purchase department in charging additional costs.
  • You will negotiate quality agreements and will be responsible for their implementation in the supplier processes.
  • Your tasks will also include the coordination and management of projects for the further development of the QM system, the reduction of non-conformity costs and the increase of productivity with the internal interfaces in the scope of Your responsibilities.
  • Last but not least, you will support quality management and the lead factory as required.
