In the first assignment the candidate will work in Plano (Texas/ USA OR Remote/ Other Major DI SW US Offices) and will Assist the Head of Custom Software Development on managing all matters pertaining to the governance, execution, and reporting of projects in our Transform function while gaining deep knowledge of innovative IT technology and leverage this to make the ONE Tech Company program a success.
In this role you will:
- Have a clear understanding of the ongoing Transformation in the SW business
- Lead /Co-Lead programs or initiatives across a variety of functions in DI IT SW Transform
- Analyze and review the established SW development toolchain and evaluate based on current and upcoming IT and SW development trends.
Other Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist and learn in several large scale, complex IT projects
- Business Models – Collaborate with the Business Partner organization to understand how IT enables our SaaS and SW business
- Chief of Staff support - Support IT leadership with strategic planning, project coordination, and executive reporting. Bridge technical teams and management to align innovation goals and drive execution.
- Executive Staff – Support in planning and executing IT leadership workshops
- Budget planning – support the information gathering, consolidation, prioritizing and data driven decision making
Potential assignment 2 could be in Germany, supporting the Digital Industries (DI) Division to streamline the SaaS business in terms of ONE Software Engineering System and unified SaaS hosting and offering.
Potential assignment 3 could be returning to the US to support our Head of Transformation and R&D Business Partners to establish the future of Siemens Software business.
We are looking for candidates who bring:
- A Master's Degree, in one of the following fields of study: Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT Management or closely related field.
- A strong background in software or technology will be a plus.
- Minimum of 4 months of international experience gained through studying, working, etc.
- Significant practical work experience and knowledge from internships, working student activities etc.
- No more than 3 - 4 years of successful experience in a related, professional work environment

- Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments
- Successfully applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of IT and/or software development
- Skills and competencies required include but not limited to:
- Software development, cloud platforms, DevOps
- Project management, planning & execution
- Horizontal leadership & executive communication
- Networking & relationship building
- Financial acumen & strategic thinking
- Excellent command of English
- Flexibility and mobility within the program duration
The salary range for this position is $93,400 to $168,100 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training. In addition, this position is eligible for time off in accordance with Company policies, including paid sick leave, paid parental leave, PTO (for non-exempt employees) or non-accrued flexible vacation (for exempt employees).

The pay range for this position is TBD - TBD annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
