Position Overview:

Join Siemens in Philadelphia as a Field Service Technician, working hands-on with advanced Charger locomotives and Venture coaches. This role includes training on troubleshooting, repairs, and field modifications, while working directly with customers to ensure reliability and satisfaction throughout the warranty period. Ideal candidates thrive on technical challenges and enjoy learning about electrical and mechanical systems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Commission and support warranty operations for locomotives and coaches
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues
  • Use diagnostic software and laptops for system assessments
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and circuit plans
  • Document failures, repairs, and modifications
  • Implement Field Modifications (FMIs) to improve quality
  • Communicate with team members and site leads
  • Follow all company and industry safety procedures


To thrive in this role, you have:

  • High school diploma (or GED)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
  • A valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, maintenance, repair, and FMI documents
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and days off
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Commitment to safety, including hazard reporting and risk recognition

This position in located in Philadelphia, PA. The yearly salary range for this position is $76,398-$95,000. This role will also include a $2,500 per month housing allowance. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
