Join Our Team as a Strategic & Collaborative Contract Manager! At Siemens, we continually innovate and shape the future and our contracts are the foundation of our success. We're looking for a dedicated Contract Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll not only manage our contractual landscape but also act as a central hub, fostering collaboration and ensuring clarity and compliance across all our agreements.

The business
You are part of the finance team, you'll work closely with legal, sales and execution teams, contributing to strategic decisions.  Our business unit is a Center of Competence for energy distribution in data centers within Siemens for the European and Asian regions. We design and deliver intelligent solutions for reliable and efficient energy distribution — essential for a sustainable future.

How will you make an impact: 
As a Contract Manager, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring clarity, compliance, and efficiency in our agreements. You’ll support the Project Manager for projects in the execution phase and work closely with the Commercial Projects Manager on complex legal and contractual topics. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Negotiation team: You're part of the negotiation team and will negotiate on project agreements and frame agreements. Furthermore, overseeing the entire contract process from drafting and strategic negotiation to seamless execution, diligent administration, and timely renewal or termination. 
  • The "Spider in the Web": You'll be the central point of contact, expertly connecting various internal departments (e.g., sales, project management, procurement) and external partners. 
  • Mentorship & Guidance: Sharing your valuable expertise, you'll coach and guide more junior project controllers on best practices in contract management, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: Addressing contractual issues and disputes with a proactive, constructive, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Process Enhancement: Contributing to the continuous improvement of our contract management processes and tools, always looking for ways to boost efficiency.

  • Proven Practical Experience: You have a solid track record of working with contracts, understanding their nuances, and managing them effectively throughout their lifecycle. When structure is needed, you're able to bring This hands-on experience is incredibly valuable to us!
  • Soft Skills & Interpersonal skills: You excell in building strong relationships, influence stakeholders, and navigate complex situations with diplomacy and professionalism. You're a natural connector and a true team player.
  • Masterful Communication & Negotiation Skills: Your ability to articulate complex contractual terms clearly, negotiate effectively with various parties, and build consensus is paramount. You're a natural communicator who can adapt your style to different audiences, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
  • Leadership & Mentorship Ability: You genuinely enjoy sharing your knowledge and have the ability to coach and develop others, particularly junior project controllers, in the intricacies of contract management.
  • Legal Affinity: While deep knowledge of Dutch law isn't a prerequisite, a strong affinity for legal aspects, an understanding of contractual principles, and the ability to interpret legal language are definitely a plus. You're comfortable navigating legal frameworks and know when to seek expert advice.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: You're a proactive thinker who can anticipate challenges and develop practical solutions.
  • Financial Understanding (helpful, not essential): While extensive financial knowledge isn't our primary focus for this role, a basic understanding of how contract terms impact financial outcomes is always helpful.
