Technical Trainer Mobility Customer Services
• Facilitate engaging technical training primarily to field service maintenance technicians, customers, and related roles.• Collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts and instructional designer to support the identification of learner skill gaps and training needs.• Collaborate with instructional designer and/or external vendor partners to support the design and development of training courses and materials.• Use surveys to measure the effectiveness of courses you deliver. Analyze and report on survey results to inform continuous improvement decisions on training courses.• Provide support as a training SME to the Customer Success sales team, who sell our training services to Siemens’ customer base.• Use various learning technology and applications to support our training initiatives, such as PowerPoint, MS 365 applications, MS Teams, SharePoint, etc.
• High School Diploma or GED.• Minimum of 3 years of electrical or mechanical maintenance or related experience in the rail or other technical maintenance industry.• Minimum of 1 year of experience either facilitating formal classroom training or providing informal on-the-job training.• Demonstrated basic proficiency with software, platforms and tools, including:
o MS Office/365 (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Outlook),
o Video conferencing applications (e.g., Zoom or MS Teams),
• Comfortable navigating online resources and resolving minor technical issues to ensure effective training delivery.• The ability to balance multiple initiatives/projects simultaneously.• The ability to build relationships and collaborate with colleagues, customers, subject matter experts, and external vendors to support our training initiatives.• Ability to travel approximately 30% in the US and occasionally to Canada, including overnight stays. The percentage of travel may vary depending on the candidate’s location.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical field. (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology)• Certifications, such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), HVAC, brake systems, etc.• Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and data analytical skills demonstrated through complex fault diagnosis in a maintenance environment.• Proficient to advanced skills with rail specific software, platforms and tools, including:
o Work order and asset management platforms. (e.g., Maximo, SAP, etc.)
o Remote fleet monitoring applications. (e.g. Railigent, HealthHub, Predix, etc.)
• An understanding of Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), OSHA and other relevant federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, and operating rules.• A desire to learn and grow your technical, training-related, software skills with course authoring, video editing and virtual simulation systems.
• Standing and Sitting: Ability to stand for long hours while delivering classroom instruction or leading shop floor training. The role also requires the ability to sit for periods to complete administrative, course development, and computer work, etc.• Mobility: Must be able to frequently move between classrooms, offices, and operational rail environments (indoors and outdoors). This involves walking significant distances, including walking on uneven terrain or ballast, and occasionally navigating stairs or climbing onto and off of rail equipment or platforms safely.• Lifting and Carrying: Ability to occasionally lift and carry boxes of training materials, laptops, and small equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.• Communication and Senses: Must be able to effectively talk, hear, and use vision (including color perception and depth perception) to deliver clear instructions, observe learners in both quiet and noisy environments, read technical documents, and safely identify hazards.• Work Environment Tolerance: Ability to work periodically in industrial settings with exposure to typical maintenance conditions including noise, dust, and varying temperatures (extreme heat/cold outdoors).• Safety and PPE: Must be able to wear and use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection, during shop and field observations.• Dexterity: Sufficient manual dexterity and coordination to operate a computer keyboard, audio/visual presentation equipment, and potentially demonstrate the use of basic hand tools for illustrative training purposes.• Travel: Position requires the ability to travel by air and ground transportation.

The pay range for this position is $82,212.00 - $105,366.00 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
