About Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and Automation:
The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of todays and tomorrow’s power grid!
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful execution of projects, from project initiation through final closeout. You will work in a matrix style organization requiring excellent coordination skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Headquartered in Wendell, NC, the EA PMO executes a diverse portfolio of projects, including photovoltaic inverters, medium-voltage power distribution equipment including packaging and services, and solutions, including automation. The PM role comes with ample opportunities for growth, reflective of Siemens mission to empower people with a growth mindset. As a customer facing team, we keep customer satisfaction at the forefront as we manage large projects in a fast-paced environment. This position can be based remotely within the United States.
You’ll make a difference by:
- Directing all phases of projects from inception through completion.
- Responsible for the cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance of the assigned project(s).
- Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Provide regular updates to team, management, and PMO on work performed, plans, budget, and overall status.
- Identify project problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
- Manage customer expectations across project cycle and lead single and multi-product medium voltage solutions projects
- Direct diagnostics with the ability to determine root cause and corrective actions.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 4+ years of experience managing portfolios in the power distribution industry, in either medium or high voltage equipment/switchgear.
- 20% Travel Required (national and international)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to interpret and report results to senior management as well as the customer.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams, including program management, services, engineering, operations, and logistics
- Commitment to develop, drive, and manage projects in a highly competitive market.
- Experience in identifying and implementing cost savings measures within project
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to present complex issues to multi-level audiences and effectively communicate progress, status and issues to internal and external Customers
- Demonstrated ability in contract and change management.
- PMP certification is required within 1 year of employment.

The pay range for this position is $74,970 - $128,520 annually with a target incentive of of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
