What do you contribute?
Developing Automatic Train Operation (ATO) is one thing, making it work across complex international projects is another. As (Senior) R&D Project Expert, you bridge both worlds: You build advanced functions, coordinate collaborators across borders, and drive projects from concept to successful delivery. Technical expertise meets strategic leadership – no pure coding position, but genuine shaping power.
- You independently analyze complex customer requirements and adapt the ATO system for seamless integration into comprehensive solutions, acting as a driving force for project success.
- Building on this, you develop and implement advanced, tailored functions to continuously enhance the ATO product, collaborating closely with architecture, testing, and validation teams to set technical standards and ensure solution quality.
- As the primary contact person for the ATO system in customer projects, you coordinate international team members and manage complex interfaces to guarantee smooth execution and successful delivery on-site.
- Additionally, you lead multiple customer projects simultaneously by prioritizing team objectives and ensuring the timely fulfillment of all project commitments.
- Using your outstanding communication skills, you constructively challenge the status quo, introduce innovative ideas, and proactively drive improvements for both the team and technological solutions.
What do you bring along?
- You have completed a university degree in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering, combined with extensive relevant professional experience.
- You have a consistent track record in developing and handling complex projects, including stakeholder coordination in an international environment.
- You possess advanced programming skills and are passionate about continuously expanding your technical expertise in automated and autonomous driving systems.
- You demonstrate strong experience in leading multi-functional teams and driving technical standards for system integration and quality.
- You have a proactive and solution-oriented mentality, excelling in structured communication and setting shared expectations with project targets.
- You communicate confidently in both German and English and thrive in international teams.
