Senior General Ledger Accountant (m/f/d)
The Accounting & Controlling Regional Hub is a center of excellence for accounting, closing, and financial reporting, supporting Siemens Healthineers entities across Europe.
The Hub ensures the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of financial statements for more than 24 legal entities across the following countries: Belgium, France, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, Algeria, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
Your Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will act as a key contributor to financial integrity and governance, supporting complex accounting topics and acting as a trusted partner to finance stakeholders.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Perform in-depth analysis of financial statements, general ledger, and sub-ledgers
- Conduct independent and critical Balance Sheet reviews, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Analyze and monitor provisions and accruals, including adequacy and consistency
- Act as a key contact for CFOs and Finance Managers, providing insights and guidance
- Perform quality checks and resolve accounting-related queries
- Provide expert advice on complex IFRS accounting topics
- Define, implement, and execute controls and quality assurance measures
- Deliver training and knowledge sharing on accounting principles and practices
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and harmonization initiatives
- Support M&A activities, including accounting assessments and integration
- Contribute to accounting and ERP implementation projects
Your Profile
We are looking for a motivated and highly skilled professional with:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting and/or Auditing
- Proven experience in a multinational environment
- Strong expertise in IFRS accounting standards
- Solid knowledge of subledger accounting (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets)
- University degree in Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration, or equivalent
- Professional certification (CPA, TOC, or equivalent) is a strong advantage
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SAP (FI modules) is a plus
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic and changing environment
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory; additional languages are an asset
