Role Overview:

The Procurement Engineer (Electrical) is responsible for sourcing and procuring electrical components, equipment, and services required for manufacturing, installation, and maintenance projects. The role involves close coordination with engineering, production, and vendor teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement aligned with technical specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Source and evaluate suppliers for electrical components such as switchgear, transformers, cables, circuit breakers, control panels, and other related items.
2. Review technical specifications and ensure procurement aligns with engineering requirements.
3. Prepare RFQs (Request for Quotations), analyze bids, and negotiate pricing and terms with vendors.
4. Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely availability of materials.
5. Collaborate with design and project teams to forecast material requirements.
6.Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.
7. Maintain procurement documentation and ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards.
8. Support cost optimization and vendor development initiatives.

1. 2–5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles within the electrical or manufacturing industry.
2. Strong understanding of electrical components and systems.
3. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.
4. Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
