You will be part of the Mentor FPGA Prototyping R&D team based in Paris, France. As a contributing engineer, you will participate in the design, specification, implementation, test, and maintenance of features for our FPGA
Prototyping product. The team primarily develops a compiler for FPGA prototype systems. In multi-FPGA systems, the
software flow compiles a design's high level description into a bitstream that can be loaded and run on the FPGA-based
hardware. The compiler partitions the design into multiple FPGA's, and then routes signals between the FPGA's over
physical tracks on the prototype board. Specific technical responsibilities include:
• Multi-FPGA partitioning and routing
• Prototype Board Modeling
• Timing Analysis
• Netlist editing, optimization, and manipulation
• RTL manipulation
• Software performance analysis and tuning
• Debug and bring-up of hardware systems
- Two to five years of relevant work experience.
- Masters or PhD in EE or CS The candidate must be proficient in C++
language programming and capable of development in a Linux OS environment.
with Verilog or VHDL IPdevelopment and verification. Strong debugging skills are a must.
You are a selfmotivated team player who would like to start a career in quality-oriented and performance-oriented software engineering.
Since the overall team is present inmultiple world-wide sites, the ability to work in both French and English is required.
Knowledge of Python and Tcl is a plus, as well as experience in the use of FPGA development tools (Vivado or ISE for Xilinx
and Quartus for Altera).
