Siemens Business Developer - Machine Tools

Develop, Implement and Manage strategic initiatives for growth of Siemens share in new or existing markets, in collaboration with Siemens headquarters, the US sales team and other US based departments necessary for a successful implementation,
Prepare periodic reports to summarize strategic initiative measurers and results for Management
Manage investment budgets in collaboration with Management and finance department
Assist with strategic sales direction/activities of MTS, - Provide suggestions on strategy & activities based on market knowledge,
Pre-qualify opportunities for new business, identify suitable growths accounts with chance of success, and assist Siemens Account Managers with initial account penetration / -development
Create and maintain business specific lead-generation campaigns, ideally with tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and use of social media profile-based AI systems; results communication and implementation through SalesForce CRM
Support efforts related to exhibition at tradeshows, Participate in appropriate conferences. Create presentations and demo’s for market impact
Analyze key competitors’ position in the market, Research key competitors’ products, Communicate key information regarding competition to appropriate teams within Siemens, Market share analysis by competitor, Competitor SWOT analysis
Prepare suitable marketing material to help Account Managers deliver the value proposition for Sinumerik products and services
Apply operational excellence in collaboration with other teams in the organization.
Coordinates his/her activities self-sufficiently within the organization
Execution: Focuses on execution by leveraging networking and by fostering collaboration with external and internal stake holders
Required Knowledge/Skills, and Experience:
Knowledge of general business functions, including: marketing, manufacturing, finance, product development, engineering, sales, and global business aspects
Must possess demonstrated ability to work across functions to drive value into market; must have demonstrated ability to drive cooperation and integration with account managers to ensure product roadmaps are aligned with overall market needs and future growth opportunities
At least Five years of experience in the Machine Tool industry and a solid understanding of typical machining processes, motion control, CNC controls and CNC software (preferred with experience in commissioning, programming and operation)
Ensure overall alignment with market needs by influencing the Sinumerik product portfolio, product placement and position in the market by interfacing with product management
Able to combine Siemens Sinumerik hardware and software portfolio elements to create specific configurations tailored towards new market segment
Ability to recognize, anticipate and understand technological trends, market requirements, customer requirements and customer needs in the US, also considering global market impact;
Show a documented entrepreneurial spirit to drive innovation and market differentiation
Possess comprehensive understanding of, and experience in directing strategic pricing decisions based on a balance of market needs, competitiveness, cost position, factory loading considerations and Siemens financial goals and impact
Business development and/or sales experience within the Machine Tool industry with strong industry networking and knowledge
Experience working with customers on quotes, proposals and solutions development
Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team environment
Ability to travel up to 30%-40% mostly domestic and in rare instances international

Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education
