The role and goal of the Sales Development Manager in the area of industrial identification and communication (RFID, code reading systems) is, next to the development and implementation of a successful sales strategy, working on customer projects together with other HQ interfaces.
This is happening especially through the understanding, development and communication of the sales story with focus on identification. As a profound market expert for the managed portfolio and new business opportunities, the SD manager considerably contributes to the portfolio development through product requirements (from the operational daily business and customer specific project work) and their economical evaluation together with the acquisition of new customers.
The workplace is in Prague, CZ. The working area is especially Germany and Asia. This position is an HQ function.
Execution of the Go-to-Market approach for the industrial identification portfolio
Coordination of the sales strategy for the industrial identification portfolio in the focus countries
Understand, develop and communicate the sales story with focus on identification
Pushing the creation of references for valuable customer applications
Sales assistance/pushing of strategic projects together with technical support from Pre-Sales Support and regional sales units
Development of new sales channels and exploitation of existing sales channels with targeted measures
Consolidation of the requirements for the product portfolio and participation in the profit analysis in the context of the PLM-Process from a sales perspective
Maintaining project lists for the managed portfolio, including regular progress controlling
Creation of valuable sales measures to increase the business success and agreement upon the measures with the sales regions, also controlling the progress with the regional management and the regions
Assistance to the regional sales with customer presentations as well as training of internal contact partners
Creation and regular updating of the sales slide deck for the managed portfolio
Creation and implementation of customer or market development plans
Required Knowledge and Skills
University Degree, ideally in Electrical Engineering or IT Network Technology
Work experience in the area of product sales with focus on automation technology, preferably in industrial communication & identification
Understanding of requirements relative to automation applications in industrial manufacturing
Project and leading experience very desirable
Selling of technical products requiring explanation
Confident presentation skills
Fluent English, German would be an advantage
Willingness to travel
