The Calibration Specialist is responsible for the calibration of items used in Reader Production and Card Production.  This role ensures that all production components are kept in a calibrated state and documents all calibration with care and attention to good record keeping.  The Calibration Specialist maintains a calibration database and performs calibrations on items coming due and identifies potential gaps in advance of calibration due dates. 

Duties and Responsibilities
•Follow calibration procedures and complete calibration records
•Ensure up to date calibration of production components (card and reader)
•Perform in-house calibration of components or send components to external calibration service providers
•Maintain calibration records and monitor calibration status for components
•Documenting out-of-tolerance and out-of-calibration events and reacting accordingly
•Ordering new calibrated items when required
•Responsible for the care and safe keeping of calibration master tools

•Regularly collaborates with card operations, reader production and other engineering personnel

Job Demands
•Care in record keeping and good documentation practices
•Ability to observe, document and handle unexpected out-of-calibration events 
•Attention to detail
 
Skills & Qualifications (Education and Experience)
•Preference for science or engineering degree
•Proficient computer skills (MS Office, database, etc.)
•Excellent oral and written English communication skills
