The Electrical Engineer provides engineering knowledge to support production goals in both Card Production and Reader Production. This may include developing new and novel production tools as well as supporting legacy devices and processes. The Electrical Engineer will perform root cause analysis of problems and develop solutions to problems as well as document these at an appropriate engineering level suitable for medical device documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Designing electrical/electronic solutions to production problems
- Drawing schematics and procuring electronic components and assemblies
- Deployment of electrical/electronic solutions and associated documentation
- Analysis of production and process data/issues
- Observing equipment performance and developing technical solutions for continuous improvement
- Updating procedures and preparing technical reports
- Assistance and guidance in troubleshooting of some equipment issues
- Reports to TBD
- Regularly collaborates with card operations, reader production and other engineering personnel
- Work quickly to ensure production continuity (equipment issues)
- Create solutions to challenging production problems
- Be a self-starter – to find issues and independently address them
Skills & Qualifications (Education and Experience)
- Engineering degree (electrical, computer, engineering physics)
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical/electronic issues
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
- 3-5 years of experience preferred
