Central Accounting Manager

Position Overview:

Are you interested in an exciting career with Siemens Digital Industries Software? The Finance division is currently searching for a Central Accounting Manager for our Plano, TX location. Perform functions related to global accounting for DISW entities as well as supporting special projects.

Responsibilities:

·       Coordinate targeted communication of bi-annual SFRG and SCOA updates

·       Manage centralized month end closing tasks in SAP

·       Coordinate BU management approval of external audit firm engagement requests

·       Support quarterly BU verification meeting preparation

·       Lead special projects that relate to general ledger maintenance and functionality 

·       Coordinate multi-faceted legal entity financial statement flux analysis

o   Ad-hoc legal entity trial balance reviews based on entity risk assessment

    • Quarterly balance sheet transparency check based on account risk assignment

·       Provide technical accounting support for assigned risk countries

·       Support calculation of internal merger entries and other accounting relevant integration activities

  • Performs as SME for certain guidelines and circulars (including keeping abreast of any recent changes)

·       Level 3 and 4 journal entry approval

  • Support global accounting process harmonization efforts and maintain BU level accounting guidelines
  • Support S/4 HANA ERP Project

·       Manage C F R 7 SW GA communication sites, including the Accounting Infoweb

·       Approve global SAP access requests

·       Review legal entity statutory audit checklists

o   Approve for special period adjustments

o   Compile data for BU management approval

  • Provide direct guidance and support to General Accounting staff.
  • Manages personnel activities of General Accounting staff (i.e., hires, trains, appraises, rewards, motivates, disciplines, recommends termination as necessary, etc.)

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting
  • 7+ years of accounting experience
  • CPA or CMA eligible
  • Excellent technical knowledge of all SAP functions
  • Ability to work with multiple management levels throughout the organization in analyzing financial situations
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
  • Strong analytical, communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to take ownership of assignments and work independently
  • Ability to multi-task and lead technical projects concurrently
  • Ability to use professional judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills to resolve anticipated issues
  • Flexible and able to work in a dynamic and fast pace environment
  • Dedicated and fast paced
  • Willingness for moderate business travel

  • Role with Siemens CF R organization Preferred
  • CPA or CMA
  • Excellent technical knowledge of ESPRIT functions
