Position Overview:

The Siemens Gamesa Wind Service Training Center is creating a new program leveraging our existing training catalog. We will combine all the necessary classes to offer a single pipeline school that will culminate in a SGRE Wind Academy Technician certification. This will enable a new student, with little or no experience, to exit as a wind turbine technician that can contribute to any organization from day one. The foundation to the SGRE Wind Academy Technician certification is the decades of experience that has been built by the SGRE training team.

We are looking for a forward thinking, positive, and high performing team player to join the Wind Service Training Center with expertise in federal and financial aid funding regulations. This person will also manage the application and financial transactions process, interact with potential and existing students and manage the scheduling process. We are expecting to start with 12 students per month and grow in the next five years to 60 students per month. This is a great opportunity for someone to establish new processes and operating procedures in accordance with DOE and federal regulations.


Financial Aid Responsibilities:

  • Determine eligibility for federal and state financial aid funding by applying extensive knowledge of regulations governing aid programs.
  • Responsible for assisting students in understanding the process and procedures for applying for and acquiring Financial Aid; responsible for the administration, maintenance and reporting of assigned financial aid programs.
  • Provide information and assistance to applicants in completing financial aid applications.
  • Review federal and state written updates and attend training and information meetings to maintain current knowledge of regulatory and institutional changes and policies relative to financial aid
  • Complete training to act as VA Certifying Official

Customer Service Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with students and families via email, phone and in person.
  • Setup and maintain learning management system (LMS)
    • Create accounts, create classes, complete enrollments, grant certifications and send transcripts
  • Collect and process payments from trainees
  • Complete training to act as VA Certifying Official
  • Coordinate interviews for students

Admissions Responsibilities:

  • Assist in determining eligibility and admission certification requirements
  • Receive and review admission applications
  • Support strategic projects in the department related to training and development
  • Support the development of training by consulting with management and customers

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • At least 2 to 4 years of experience in federal and financial aid funding
  • Willingness to work with students
  • Demonstrated experience working in financial services
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining records
  • Experience interpreting policies or procedures
  • Ability to perform data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a high pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Experience providing exceptional customer service over the phone, email and in person

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience leading projects, meeting deadlines, and working with various departments or stakeholders
