Baseline Requirements:

·       Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for future or current sponsorship by the company
  • Preferred sophomore or later status
  • Able to work from Northville, MI without relocation assistance

Strategic Student Program - Simcenter STAR-CCM+ Application Engineering Intern

Simcenter STAR-CCM+ is the industry leading Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software that allows you to simulate almost any engineering problem that involves fluids, and associated physics. Simcenter STAR-CCM+ is a complete multiphysics solution for the simulation of products operating under real-world conditions   In this role your responsibility will be to engage with our Application Engineering Team in the following ways:

  • Support software testing of defined use case scenarios, preparing and delivering solution presentations and demonstrations. 
  • Learn our customer's business processes and how the Siemens solutions can improve their business.
Position Requirements:

  • Studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related field
  • Basic understanding of IT hardware and software system. Knowledge of Linux and Windows for IT administration tasks
  • Experience with programming; preferably Java or C++
  • Experience with Commercial Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) Software is preferred
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to spot patterns across data-sets
  • Great communication and active listening skills
  • Highly developed organizational skills
  • Attention to detail, driven and self-motivated
  • Eager to learn and willing to work on challenging tasks
