What will you do?
Maintain the continued suitability of the Environmental Health Safety (EHS) & Human Performance (HU) management systems (Regulatory requirements, CoR, ISO 14001, 45001 std & CNSC, INPO)
Provide EHS/HuP leadership to the business on programmatic
Support with contract reviews during opportunity development and project acquisition
Develop and ensure
theeffective implementation of safety, HU project plans during the service life cycle of Siemens Power Generation and Transmission equipment for work at the project site, factories and supplier location.
Independently assess and monitor the effective implementation of these plans
Develop EHS/HuP KPIs and other performance metrics to monitor performance
Conduct investigations, liaise with stakeholders while handling EHS/HU incidents
Provide EHS analysis during lessons learned and close-out activities
Train personnel and maintain a training program
What will you need to succeed?
Over 8 years of experience as a lead EHS/HU expert preferably in the Construction and Power Generation industry
Over 8 years of experience working in a complex industrial construction environment
Extensive experience as a lead auditor as well as in conducting investigations, utilizing advanced RCA tools (Kepner Tregoe, Tap Root, Apollo, Barrier Analysis, Culpability analysis, etc.)
Extensive experience in leading EHS/HU discussions with customer, regulatory bodies, functional managers and field service personnel.
Proven experience in the workers compensation process
Possess a CRSP certification, or NCSO or another industry recognized certification from a recognized college/university (Preferred)
Have completed a bachelor’s program in Occupational Health and Safety (Preferred)
Must possess a valid driver’s license and must be able to travel on short notice across Canada and US
Must be eligible to obtain a CNSC clearance to access Nuclear utilities
