What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure:

The Construction Manager position will provide project oversight and on-site client relations for specific large and high-profile projects throughout the country. Provide high-level project management and intra- and inter-departmental leadership for the Smart Infrastructure teams, internal at the project and branch level. The position is distinguished from other management classifications by the manager's responsibility to specifically provide executive-level leadership and project management sponsorship for large, high profile projects. This position will be able to focus on specific projects and issue while driving standardization and project execution. In addition, the position will provide organizational and historical advice through lessons learned workshops.

Responsibilities include:

  • On-site full time (when SI scopes are active on site)
  • Day-to-day construction coordination between SI scopes of work.
  • Attends coordination meetings
  • Conducts and documents progress, scheduling and commissioning Meetings
  • ‘Tailgate Meetings’, Safety reports
  • Collects and distributes schedule updates from site schedulers, and CWC
  • Handles short term progress of Pull forward planning/2 week look ahead
  • Leads SI site material logistics
  • Punch list and site Quality Management
  • Facilitates communication between scopes of Siemens subcontractors
  • Coordination of MEP, Startup and Commissioning
  • Reports overall project status to Project Executive daily

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years project management experience
  • Minimum 5 years managing direct reports
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Organizational skills
  • AS/BS degree preferred
  • Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
