What is this Opportunity?

As Financial Analyst, you will leverage your financial skills AND your knowledge/expertise with Business Process Improvement, to drive and increase efficiencies for the department. This is a unique opportunity and a hybrid role. Your ability to: do deep dive assessments of current financial processes, challenge the status quo, and initiative to drive the implementation of new processes, is what we are looking for!


What will you do?

  • Evaluate business process(es), anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvements, develop and implement solutions
  • Leverage your deep/current industry knowledge on latest process and IT advancements to automate and improve processes
  • Effectively communicate results and plans to cross functional team members and management
  • Month-end closing process, ensuring all entries are completed on a timely basis
  • General Ledger control and responsibility, including Profit Center, Cost Center structure and General Ledger Accounts
  • Analyze and track the company’s monthly financial results; Analyze Profit and Loss below expected margin for accuracy and consistency
  • Assist in forecast process, including consolidation and review of all monthly forecasting
  • Ensure timely completion of management’s reporting requirements
  • Providing business analysis and decision support to other departments
  • Be involved in preparation of yearly budgets, including fixed costs and Balance Sheet review
  • Support internal/external audit engagements by maintaining and providing proper documentation
  • Ad hoc and special projects as required

What will you need to succeed?

  • CMA, CA, CGA or MBA required with a minimum of 1-4 years’ work experience
  • Experience in a service and project finance environment considered a plus
  • Strong reporting and systems knowledge; Experience with system databases and visualization tools
  • Understanding of financial statements (Income statement, balance sheet and cash flow)
  • A high proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office software
  • Business Process Improvement (BPI) mindset; demonstrated ability to drive change and optimize processes is key
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong English communication (written and verbal) skills; strong customer service orientation
  • Must have a quality conscious approach to work; be a team player with collaborative approach
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve tight deadlines/schedules; self-starter; resourceful; ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
  • Willing and flexibility to work extended hours as needed is essential
