The Customer Services unit within Siemens Mobility offers customers in the mobility industry a unique solutions portfolio over the entire lifecycle. The measures range from reliable supply of spare parts to smart data services – like real-time monitoring of trains and Infrastructure, prediction of wear and comprehensive analysis of complex vehicle and signalling problems.
Investments in new mobility concepts must show a long-term return and must be sustainable. This requires effective service concepts. This is the only way to ensure maximum reliability and availability of a transportation system over its entire service life or, ideally, even to extend its service life.
The Business unit “Customer Services” supports service and maintenance related topics for the Mobility division for the market of Belgium and Luxembourg. Customer Services aims to make rail operations even more efficient with innovative technologies at all levels (Rolling stock and Rail Infrastructure) and providing our customers with excellent maintenance services.
As Maintenance Engineer Signalling, you first objective is to keep the systems from Siemens Mobility, installed at our customer, operational and running at all time. You are crucial in achieving a high availability of these systems by means of the needed maintenance related actions being renewal, preventive services and corrective services.
Your technical insights and fire-fighting attitude will ensure the best possible service we can give to our customer to solve and avoid possible defects.
On the other hand, many of your duties will also be preventive and planned interventions. Here you will follow the planning as good as possible and execute the maintenance instructions. A good documentation of these activities for future follow-up and invoicing is of high importance.
We foresee training on the job via an integration with the testing and commissioning team. This is the best way to get yourself familiar with the different systems in the field and will be a necessary phase before you can manage maintenance interventions on your own.
In this position you will closely work together with your team manager and the service delivery manager. You will interact on topics like customer discussions, ideas of improvement, work orders, …
You will have the opportunity to build a real partnership with the other signalling technicians to exchange ideas and help each other with difficult topics.
Why build with us the future of Siemens Mobility?
With your technical knowledge (Bachelor Electromechanics, Electronics or Automation) on electronical systems (software + hardware) you will easily understand and interpret the technical documentation on the topic of maintenance. You are just like your colleagues very passionate about Railway Technology and you are interested in complex electronical systems. You communicate very well in Dutch, French and English.
When meeting your colleagues, you will notice that they are;
Hands-on + Trouble Shooter + Customer Oriented + Perseverance + Committed!
Our culture embraces different perspectives, open and strong debate, and the will to challenge convention. Change is a constant aspect of our work. We aspire to lead the change in our industry rather than just react to it. That’s why we invite you to take on new challenges, test your ideas, and celebrate success.
