Job Description

We at Siemens Advanta Slovakia develop systems for intelligent buildings. We create monitoring and management systems that increase security and protect property, improve comfort for building occupants, streamline overall operations and reduce energy consumption.

We are looking for a senior back-end developer for a project intended to improve energy efficiency and sustainability of buildings – offices, hospitals, hotel chains, etc. You will be working with up-to-date technologies in an international scrum team which closely collaborates with colleagues in Switzerland and Germany. Our goal is to implement a highly responsive, scalable and secure solution with attractive look & feel which will be used across the world by our external customers – facility managers, building owners and others.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Analysis, design and implementation in Java or C#
  • Implementation of unit tests for your code
  • Document your design and code
  • Participate on scrum events – daily stand-up, sprint review, demo, retrospective
  • Communicating with product management and team member from other teams about interfaces and dependencies

We expect

3+ years of experience in software development projects


Mandatory skills:

·    Object oriented analysis, design and implementation

·    Experience with programming in object-oriented programming language (Java, C#, typescript)

·    Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS)

·    Knowledge of design patterns

·    Experience with working in a SCRUM team

Nice to have skills:

·    UML

·    SQL

·    Service Oriented Architecture (rest)

Language Requirements:

·    English (B2 minimum)

Personality requirements and skills:

·    Good analytical and problem solving skills

·    Good written and verbal communication skills

Salary from 1900 EUR brutto/month + variable bonus*
*The salary depends on the experience and seniority of the candidate and is the subject of a partnership agreement during the selection process.
