Job Description

Our work and its results:
Our everyday life at Siemens Mobility is all about cars, intersections, smart cities, and technical solutions. We develop solutions for traffic control for the new generation of intelligent towns and cities. You will be responsible for the Sitraffic Stream. This product optimises traffic in many European cities. With our help, rescue system units reach the point of their action safely and in time. We keep developing the current solution, aligning it also with new customers.

What does your future team look like?
Our agile teams comprise developers, testers, and traffic engineers from the field. Java is our primary language for development. We are developing a product based on network communication with our external partners. We do not create any extensive documentation; we write our code to be understandable for others. We like learning the product domain (transport systems) and cooperate with our colleagues in Germany and England. Although we are a corporation, there is a minimum of paperwork. And what is important – we have a friendly team where you need not be afraid to ask for help.

What do you need to be a part of our team?
  • You are a secondary school or university student specialising in technology
  • You have insights about Webservices and HTML
  • You can speak English (participation in calls, emails, your work's inputs and outputs are in English)
  • Experience with Java programming
  • You have at least some understanding of versioning systems and CI/CD
  • You have at least 20 hours a week to work with us
What will be your job?
  • Cooperating with developers and testers in our R&D centre in Brno
  • Expanding our systems to include new functionality for new customers
  • Following the latest trends and applying them to our work
  • Helping deploy modern development methods – CI/CD pipelines
  • You should not be afraid to analyse the existing solutions and implement new ones
  • Helping accelerate the deployment of intelligent transport systems in everyday life
What do we offer in exchange?
  • Collaboration based on an agreement for work (DPČ) or agreement to perform a job (DPP) (min. 20 hours per week)
  • Flexible working hours adapted to your school schedule
  • Possible full-time employment after graduation
  • A catering contribution (electronic meal vouchers)
  • Multisport card for a favourable price or ActivePass
  • Special offers and discounts for employees
  • Workplace situated not far from the Brno city centre, Olomoucká Street (a 5-minute drive by tram from the Main Station)
Do not hesitate and send us your CV! You are only one remove from seeing us!
