Job Description

The Mentor Graphics Child Development Center is an employer sponsored Child Development Center at the company's headquarters in Wilsonville.  Teachers at the Center work in a professional, collaborative, team based culture and are inspired by the schools of Reggio Emilia, Italy and a social-constructivist pedagogy. The position offers a competitive salary and generous benefits package.

This is a part time position that is eligible for full benefits. Hours for the position are between 7:30 to 2:00 Monday - Friday with a weekly commitment of no more than 32.5 total hours.

The Mentor Graphics Child Development Center provides a nutrition program for 50 to 90 children per day. Our kitchen serves 2 snacks and a hot lunch meal out of our catering kitchen. Our Kitchen person preps, portions, and serves prepared entrees and snacks.

Menus are developed monthly in consultation with our vendor Fresh N'Local. Kitchen specialist is the primary contact with our vendor managing ordering, delivery, proper storage of all food.

Responsibilities of this position include:
Preparation of meals in accordance with food safety guidelines
Adherence to Health and Safety for food preparation and kitchen Sanitation
Meal prep, portioning and delivery for classrooms serving children 12 month to 5 years.
Adherence to food allergy and food substitution guidelines for each child/classroom
Additional support for classroom sanitation needs as identified
Our ideal candidate would be energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated, able to follow detailed instructions

Job Qualifications:

  • Experience with food service and sanitation requirements for licensed child care facilities
  • Current OR food handlers’ license
  • Ability to enroll and keep current in the Oregon Child Care Division Criminal History Registry
  • Applicants must meet any additional licensing/accreditation requirement
