Head of Communications, Thailand

Job Description

The Head of Communications will be responsible to set and implement Siemens Thailand’s Communications mission and strategy. The successful candidate will lead the internal and external communication activities in order to support the business targets of the company. This includes development, implementation and maintaining of communications plans and programs, branding, managing communications channels, providing tools and media.


Responsibilities:

Includes the following; other duties may be assigned. 

  • Development of excellent and impactful communications strategies, campaigns and messages to strengthen the Siemens brand internally and externally, with a strong focus on the business needs of operating entities
  • Define focus topics together with businesses to generate added value (leads, image, reputation) for the company
  • Liaise with public and private stakeholders and represent Siemens Thailand with regard to communications towards the respective target groups
  • Drive innovation and digitalization in communications (e.g., digital marketing, social media) and ensure alignment and active tracking and impact measurement of digital marketing and marketing communications activities
  • Act as a trusted communications advisor to the CEO and management team
  • Make decisions on overall budget, mission-critical programs and the related resources
  • Ensure that quality standards for communications operations and processes are met at all time
  • Build and coach a small communication team

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in corporate, digital and marketing communications, event management, PR and branding and associated tools and platforms
  • Solid knowledge of media, with strong and relevant network of journalists
  • Experience in leading communications in a complex, multi-product, multi-channel and multi-business organization
  • Strong leadership skills that inspire, engage and motivate team
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and networking skills
  • Excellent Thai and English written and oral communication skills, as well as presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail, budget management and project management skills
  • Cultural sensitive team player with good knowledge of the diversity in working culture in Southeast Asia

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications/marketing or similar field

Experience: 

  • At least 10 years’ experience in a leadership position in the Corporate Communication / Marcom / Marketing department of a large Thai organization or MNC
  • Agency background will be an advantage
