Regional Commodity Manager

Job Description

Siemens is looking for a Regional Commodity Manager who specializes in Logistics & Project Management. Is that you? 
Position Overview 
 This position will report to the Head of Logistics and will be a part of a regional and global logistics team. You must be strategic, analytical, organized, determined, highly motivated, assertive and able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. This is a strategic corporate position, where you must possess the ability to independently manage multiple projects, assigned tasks, targets and activities concurrently. 

 -The Commodity Manager understands US and international transport markets and translate market intelligence into sourcing strategies that bring significant value to Siemens. Different modes of transport will be the focus: Air, Ocean, Parcel and ground transport. 

 -Strategy fulfillment will be measured against four KPIs: Customer Satisfaction, Free-Cash-Flow, Contribution to Net Income (CNI), and Process Automation (Digitalization and Optimization). 
-The Commodity Manager will work in a virtual environment to achieve optimum savings through collaborative activities and increase profit by sourcing at the global, cross-business and individual business levels. Execute strategies to ensure long-term cost-efficient supplier performance.

 Analytical Skills – ability to handle large amounts of data, perform detailed analysis, and make decisions with scant data. 
Procurement Skills – Strategic Sourcing, understand and have experience in creating and conducting RFQs, developing 3 to 5 year sourcing strategy and perform market analytics. 

Communication Skills – able to communicate and collaborate professionally in a clear and concise method across multiple levels. 

Negotiation Skills – negotiate legal contracts, framework agreements and conduct business term and price negotiations utilizing various types of advanced negotiation concepts. 

Project Management Skills 
 • Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision, set target dates, meet deadlines, develop a commodity road map of projects and implement projects to achieve optimum results. 
 • Conducts planning, budgeting, risk identification and management, controlling and reporting activities, throughout all stages of assigned projects.
 • Adheres to the guidelines of PM@Siemens and deploys all methods to optimally achieve the project. Ensures timely decisions on open issues.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience 
BS/BA degree. 
7+ years of Logistics Procurement / Supply Chain Management in a global environment. 
Highly proficient analytical and technical skills in Tableau, Click View, BI Solutions, MS Office Suite (especially Excel). 
Strong project management experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written) required. 
Proficient in presenting to internal and external constituents, carriers, and management. 
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 
Willingness to travel both domestic & international. Up to 25% (once it is safe to travel) 

 MBA a plus; PMP Certification, SAP, OTM-TMS, SharePoint and MS Project. Be Entrepreneurial!
