We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and diligent Information Security Officer to join the team based in our Bayswater, VIC office. Reporting to the Cybersecurity Officer for Lead Country Australia your primary role will be the implementation of the Corporate Information Security program and Information Security policies, regulations and standards. You will be responsible for providing cybersecurity support and protecting the Siemens IT/OT infrastructure.
In your role as Information Security Officer (ISO) you will establish and maintain key relationships, collaborations and partnerships to advance cybersecurity objectives with IT and local business leadership, with special focus on identification and protection of critical assets.
You will be required to perform cybersecurity business proximity key functions for the implementation of a risk-based approach to protecting information assets, including the execution of ACP (Asset Classification and Protection) Process, Risk Management, Security Assessments based on ISO 27001:2013, Awareness Campaigns and Training. Performing exception management and vulnerability management related tasks and collaborating with local IT management to ensure all cybersecurity related controls and measures are implemented, managed, controlled, and reported.
You will monitor and report Cybersecurity performance targets, and participate in Cyber incident handling process’, identifying potential threats and respond to security violations.
You will support effective and efficient implementation of the Asset Classification & Protection (ACP) process for specified IT assets, and actively support the Cybersecurity Officer with the development of protection concepts for Siemens business IT assets, following a comprehensive thinking to cover all protection aspects. In addition, you will also be required to manage additional IT projects across the business.
To be successful in this role it is likely that you will have a university degree or equivalent experience in information technology, cybersecurity or a related field, and be able to demonstrate experience across different functions and businesses within complex organisations. Have an in-depth knowledge of Cybersecurity and/or Information Technology with focus on Cyber Security, namely Security Architecture, Protection Concepts, Network Security, Infrastructure topics, and be able to work collaboratively across global networks and secure the implementation of cybersecurity solutions. In addition, you have a strategic foresight to drive cybersecurity into the future, general knowledge of Cyber Security standards (ISO27001, NIST, BSI). Appropriate training (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CRISC), certifications are a plus. As is experience in protection of Network Services (e.g. Firewalls, Proxy, WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, Network Security, Remote Access).
Previous experience working with international teams and managing projects based on a systematic project management methodology (i.e. pm@siemens), as well as knowledge of IT systems security assessments and threat & risk-based evaluation of protection controls are highly desirable.
It is essential that you have a solution orientated mindset, self-management, analytical skills, and team working is required. Written and spoken English combined with good interpersonal skills and attention to detail are paramount.
