What part will you play?

  • Within the research projects you support our team in the development of modular, model-based software environments enabling virtual commissioning and operational support functions for industrial plants and infrastructures (digital twins).

  • Furthermore, you will work with our experts on the latest concepts and ideas of system- and co-simulation, edge-computing, model-based cybersecurity, automation, e.g. MTP, and utilize newest IT technology.

  • You will acquire know-how about modular simulation architectures, modelling and simulation skills and apply your automation and computer science skills in our digital machines’ lab on industrial devices.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds.

  • You are currently studying Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science, or any comparable subject area.

  • You are passionate about combining simulation with software architectures, data analytics and automation software to create model-based digital twins.

  • Moreover, you have knowledge about automation systems and modeling & simulation.

  • You have already gained experience with C#, C++ and/or Python and automation software, e.g. TIA portal, as well.

  • Ideally, you have knowledge in software IDEs (e.g. Visual Studio, PyCharm), remote communication technologies (e.g. OPC UA), different OS (Windows/Linux), container environments (e.g. Docker) and processing formats like JSON, XML.

  • Flexible working methods are in your blood, whether in the office, in the laboratory or from home, you always work in a structured and accurate manner.

  • Very good written and oral English skills are required, German skills would be an asset.
