impact and conserving resources We are adding a Solutions Architect to the team due to grown and expansion.
In this challenging and exciting role, you will lead the solution architecture design for the information technology implementation projects for rolling stock IT as well as the landsite IT connected to it. This includes a computerized maintenance management system, passenger information system, CCTV, Wi-Fi and other IT solutions related to a rail environment. You will be interfacing with the various disciplines throughout the project as well as with the international team in US and Europe for designing the IT solutions and business analysis.

What you will be doing in this role:
Assume overall responsibility for providing architectural guidance for new solutions. Design and implement solution, services, updates, and releases while ensuring their compliance with existing architectural landscape and project requirements.
Drive the formulation of guidelines for an architectural landscape for the whole company, ensuring coherence and optimal fit between business and IT services portfolio to plan, budget, design and coordinate business processes and solution architectures.
Enable integration and interoperability of different applications within the enterprise
Support the integration of IT security policies
Network and consult with other Solution Architects across the globe
Quickly understands the IT landscape complexity to develop a holistic design strategy and plan
Collaborate with other disciplines within the project to develop together an integrated IT solution for the, on-train technology and landside technology and applications
Being a member of the project team, you share the responsibility for the successful delivery of the technology solutions.
Align with the Project Manager, to determine the design, implantation plans.
define standards and ensure that the design documentation is complete, and you are able to present the recommendations to senior management and customer.
What you bring to the table:
7- 10 years experience with designing, consulting and implementing of software applications
Solid understanding and experience working with high availability, high performance, multi-data center systems and hybrid cloud environments
Familiar with security concepts including authentication methods and assets protection
General skills and awareness of requirements management, defect management, and configuration management processes
Comfortable with Software Development Life Cycles, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment
Ability to use a wide variety of opensource technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is preferred). Familiar with tools and frameworks like Visio, UML, TOGAF etc
Experience with scalable architectures using serverless technologies, container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry etc.), API management, microservice frameworks etc.
Very strong experience in setting up AWS Cloud technologies (EC2, VPC, ELB, RDS, S3, Lambda, Networking, IAM, and Route 53
Bachelor’s in Computer Science
We would be impressed if you had:
Software development practices like DevOps and CI/CD tool chains (i.e. Jenkins, Gitlab). Preferred
Big Data engineering and analytical skills programming languages like python, cloud formation etc.
Experience with NoSQL databases, big data and message brokers such as Kafka etc.
