Join Siemens Digital Industries’ (DI SW) fast paced portfolio development team, where energy, teamwork, original ideas, and contribution are highly valued.

We are looking for an Analyst to join our portfolio development team in the Southern California area. The team partners closely with the company's executive management and business unit leaders to: (i) link initiatives to overall corporate and portfolio strategy, (ii) identify growth opportunities, (iii) source, evaluate, and propose acquisition targets and partnerships to capitalize upon these opportunities, and (iv) support the transaction execution and integration process (as needed).

The analyst function  will collect and analyze industry, competition and target data which in turn will accelerate DI SW’s short- and long-term strategic plans. This role participates in shaping the future of the market leader in Industrial Software.

Essential Functions:
• Lead collaboration with key stakeholders within the Product Portfolio Management/Portfolio        Development team to create productivity software apps and automation solutions 
• Discover and Analyze data sets as required in M&A/Investment projects to provide relevant insights and metrics 
• Lead work in an agile environment to design and develop software and automation solutions (code and low code methods)
• Collect, cleanse, process, and maintain various types of data sets for M&A/Investment projects
• Responsible for entire Software Development Lifecycle
• Uphold Siemens’ Business Code of Ethics
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities Required:
• Strong personal organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a lot of ambiguity
• Software development skills required - Experience with Java, Python or R strongly desired
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to create innovative solutions 
• Self-starter with ability to manage software projects 
• Be a team player possessing critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a passion for data, software development, and analysis

Education and Experience Requirement:
• 1-3 years' experience in software development, data analysis or data analytics role preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Statistics
• Mendix Rapid Developer Certified 
• Complete Mendix Advanced Developer Certification within first 6 months of joining

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
• Required amount of travel with the position: 0 - 5%
