This position is a part of the Atlas Graduate Program. Through this program, new engineers will receive 12 months of developmental training. This training will include technical and non-technical training courses. You will work with Siemens EDA executives and world-class engineers and learn what it is like to work as part of a company that is solving software challenges in the area of electronic design automation.


Siemens EDA is a leader in electronic design automation software, providing electronic design tools for the semiconductor, telecommunications, internet, automotive as well as aerospace industries.  Our products enable customers to design, manufacture and deploy the latest cutting-edge electronic products and technology. 

We are looking for a highly motivated software engineer to join the Calibre RealTime team. The Calibre RealTime platform significantly improves the productivity of digital and custom designers, by bringing Calibre signoff verification and confidence into the design creation environment. It enables on-demand, immediate Calibre signoff design rule checking (DRC) for digital and custom design flows, enabling physical design and verification engineers to shave weeks off their tapeout schedule.  Providing significant productivity advantages for “last mile” manual DRC closure, the Calibre RealTime interface enables designers to optimize their manual DRC fixes and focus on meeting the power, performance and area goals of their demanding designs.


You will be responsible for developing, enhancing and supporting Calibre RealTime Digital and Calibre RealTime Custom products. You will team up with a group of senior software engineers to contribute to new components and algorithms and to support existing components. You will collaborate with quality assurance, technical publications, marketing, and customer support to deliver high-quality products on schedule, and participate in planning, scheduling and estimation of tasks.

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

- BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related discipline

- Software development in a C/C++ and Tcl/Tk on Linux/Unix

- Strong object-oriented analysis, design, debugging and problem solving skills

- Adherence to tenets of quality software development and craftsmanship

- Proven attention to detail, the ability to accurately estimate software tasks and to work to schedule

- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

- Self-motivation, the desire to take technical ownership, and a results-driven positive attitude and team-orientation

- Familiarity with digital and custom physical implementation tools from Cadence, Synopsys, or Mentor
