Embark on your 12-month placement with us whilst taking part in our fantastic intern development programme. We will create an individual training plan to help you develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. By the end of it, you will be set up with the best knowledge and hands-on experience to equip you for your professional career in strategy and business development.
This is a development opportunity within the Siemens Mobility Limited (Rail Infrastructure) Strategy and Business Development (ST&BD) team and more specifically the Mobile Communications business.
The successful candidate will gain experience with all functions of the Rail Infrastructure and Mobile Communications team, including Sales, Marketing, Bids and Tendering.
This opportunity ensures that Siemens Mobility Limited (Rail Infrastructure) has a pipeline of talent to support successful new business generation from new and existing markets into a new and exciting future of people mobility.
This internship will require the successful candidate to be flexible around the working week and may require some travel.
What will my internship look like and how will I be developed?
Through placements you will develop Sales and Account Management knowledge, skills and behaviours in the following key ST&BD functions:
- Sales and Marketing
- Contract Management
- Technical Solutions Architects

- You must be studying towards a STEM based degree with a business management module.
- You think logically, you're willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving
- You can work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change
- You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions
- You are customer service focused and have effective communication skills.
- You show a willingness to develop knowledge in complex technologies and regularly put yourself outside of your comfort zone.
