What part will you play?

  • As part of your PhD, you contribute to research and innovation in the field of Digital Twin data management.

  • You actively drive the development of a BIM compliant digital twin of buildings to promote collaboration among multiple stakeholders.

  • You smoothly integrate artificial intelligence methods into BIM processes to enable seamless cooperation on 3D models

  • You research and prototype novel solutions for storing and interacting with building 3D models and you demonstrate novel integration methods for computer aided Design and engineering (simulation) tools.

  • You publish in the scientific community to present and discuss your findings with great internal and external minds.

  • Additionally, you help us supervise our students, e.g. interns, master's students, etc.

  • You already have a successfully completed master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or any comparable subject area.

  • Your programming skills in object-oriented languages, e.g. C# and scripting languages, e.g. Python are on advanced level.

  • You have proven experience in 3D computer graphics and/or visualization techniques and have a solid knowledge of mathematics in 3D graphics (geometry).

  • Experience with cloud environments, e.g. AWS or Azure, as well as AI methods, e.g. Deep Learning, would be a plus.

  • If you have basic knowledge of relevant CAD tools, e.g. Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM methodology, it would be a plus.

  • Ideally, you are familiar with the basics of database technology (conventional and noSQL, knowledge graphs) as well as semantic modeling or the definition of ontologies (OWL).

  • Finally, you are passionate about solving real-world problems, have a strong drive for achievement and a genuine desire to discover new things.

  • Personally, you impress us with your excellent communication skills as well as a very strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.
