Quality Assurance Engineer Apprenticeship – Siemens Healthineers - Sudbury

Over time, you’ll take on more responsibility and accountability as your skills, knowledge and expertise increases.


The Quality Apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity to learn have active involvement within the Quality Assurance team and to drive continuous improvement across the sites. You’ll need to be available to begin this 14-month apprenticeship in September 2021 and will complete a Level 4 Quality Practitioner Apprenticeship in partnership with a local college.


Your mission and responsibilities:

·       Understand International Quality Standards and how they are applied to the organisation

·       Effective use of Quality Systems including internal audits, risk assessments, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and Catsweb system to name a few.

·       Support the Quality Operations team within the manufacturing environment through process improvements and CAPA support

·       Learn and understand correct documentation control processes and procedures

·       Effectively contribute and work with cross functional teams, support 5 S process, and comply with site Environmental, Health & Safety policy

·       Develop an understanding of the key departments within Siemens Healthineers and work closely with other Point of Care sites.

·       Gain a broad range of essential skills and knowledge including how to lead a meeting and manage a project                                                                                                                                  


Your qualifications and experience:

We are looking for forward-thinking, inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following characteristics:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Enjoys collaborating and can work effectively in teams to find innovative solutions
  • Be a confident communicator across all levels as well as take initiative for tasks
  • You can work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change
  • Works to a high standard and completes tasks diligently and quickly.
  • Able to develop skills in an engineering/maintenance/electronics discipline
  • An electrical background would be advantageous
  • Demonstrate an interest in digitalisation

You must have:

  • Educated to A Level standard of NVQ/BTEC or HNC
  • Minimum of five GCSEs at A*– C / 9 - 5 (or equivalent) including Maths and English
  • Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

What’s the application process?

1. Online application – Please complete our online application and submit you CV, which will then be screened by our Talent Acquisition team.

2. Gamified assessment – You will be required to complete a 30-minute online test that assesses your skills and cognitive ability.

3. Assessment centre - If you're successful, you'll be invited to a virtual assessment centre including a strengths-based interview and group exercise.
