Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. This position is located in Knoxville, TN. Out of state candidates are strongly encouraged to apply as relocation will be provided.

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the mechanical group’s transfer to manufacturing and sustaining activities.  Acting as a Scrum Master managing tasks via Azure DevOps (TFS) tool, in which the work may be delegated within local and remote departments.
  • You will be responsible for evolving current design, transferring new designs to manufacturing, and addressing manufacturing / field corrections / improvements.
  • You will perform design activities including, but not limited to, analysis, tolerance stack up, CAD modelling using NX with TeamCenter, drawing creation and modification, and executing Engineering Change Orders within SAP.
  • You will also be engaged with the development of new product development.

  • Good machine design skills with drafter and engineering analysis capabilities.  Experience with product engineering tools (NX, TeamCenter, MathCAD)
  • Good organizational skills with tools experience (MS Office software, Azure DevOps (TFS), SAP)
  • Understanding fabrication and manufacturing processes with experience collaborating with a supply chain.
  • Understanding of best practices for design for manufacturing, serviceability, and reliability
  • Familiarity with product development in a regulatory environment

Required skills to have for the success of this role

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required, or equivalent
  • SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) experience a plus
  • Experience of 5-8 years Mechanical Engineering with part design and manufacturing experience
