Together with their colleagues abroad, Siemens Mobility's Engineering sites in the Czech Republic are developing modern rolling stock. We address both the overall arrangement, design of particular systems, and summary features. We create innovative products for urban transport (tramways, metro) and rail transport vehicles (regional and high-speed transport). We are a trend-setter, shifting forward the equipment levels. By creating energy-efficient zero-emission transport systems, we contribute to the fulfilment of the Czech Republic's, European Union's and global commitments related to energy, climate, and the environment.

That is why we see ergonomics, human physiology and the working environment as vital cross-sectional disciplines that must be analysed and ensured competently.

What will be your responsibilities?
  • Defining and processing HMIs for our rolling stock
  • Providing creative designs of technical solutions for the rolling stock, considering the human factors and ergonomic requirements
  • Communicating with other experts (within Engineering and consultancy firms) and customers 
  • Analysing the human factor during the rolling stock development
  • Processing anthropometric data (passengers, service personnel)
  • Modelling the studied situations in the 3D Human CAD-system (PLM Siemens Jack&Jill)
  • Preparing ergonomic documentation and reports

What are our requirements?
  • Completed university degree in a technical field (engineering, architecture, structural engineering) 
  • Experience with (engineering) ergonomics (anthropocentrism, human physiology, environmental technologies, design)
  • English for everyday communication 
  • Creative thinking
  • Project and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of ergonomic standards is a plus (e.g., ISO 6385, ISO 7250, ISO 9241…)
  • Knowledge of the CAD-tool PLM Siemens Jack&Jill is a plus
  • Knowledge of the 3D tool Creo, or other MCAD-tools (Catia, NX, Solidworks), is a plus
