Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Tester Engineer, you will be responsible for executing software tests, coordinating, reviewing and preparing test strategies, test plans within the established deadlines and costs and ensuring that the company's quality standards are met. The main interfaces will be: Managers, coordinators, internal area employees, project managers, and the customer.

What We Need from You

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Analysis, Information Systems or similar.
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with thesis or related work in power systems is a plus
  • At least 04 years of experience in the area (desirable)
  • Experience with Automated testing tools and frameworks
  • Experience with Software Engineering
  • Experience with Software architecture (requirements specification, use cases, UML)
  • Experience with Programming languages ​​and code debugging techniques
  • Experience with Code Versioning and Software Defect Management Systems
  • Experience with Agile Software Development Methodologies
  • Experience with Software Engineering
  • Experience with Linux, Unix and Windows Operational Systems
  • Experience with Shell script languages ​​(Bash, Ksh, Perl, Python)
  • Experience with Black Box and White Box Tests
  • Experience with Oracle Data Base is a plus
  • Experience with one of the following: Electric Power Control Center Software Systems, SCADA Systems or Mission Critical Systems
  • Fluent English
  • Availability to travel (30%)

Your Challenges

  • Collect and define functional and non-functional requirements for software testing specification
  • Plan, analyze and build software testing strategies and plans    
  • Run tests, analyze results, create new tests and ensure the accuracy of software tests         
  • Support sales teams, helping to estimate costs and deadlines for the development and implementation of software solutions    
  • Support after-sales and SLA activities, ensuring customer service
  • Ensure the announcement and disclosure of products/services offered by the company, participating in fairs and seminars, providing training for customers, internal and external
  • Improve processes aiming at productivity gains, improvement of service quality and cost reduction
  • Ensure the maintenance of the quality standard, monitoring and supporting the software testing process
  • Support the parameterization process and implementation of software systems for the client
  • Make contact with the Headquarter for activities related to the transfer of know-how, technical updates and resolution of problems related to the development of software solutions
  • Document and identify software non-conformities by supporting software development teams as well as customer support teams
