What part will you play?

  • Programmable forwarding planes received a technological boost in the IT world and also offer new opportunities for industrial communication and compute infrastructures. Introducing now well-known technologies from the IT- and Linux-world to industry grade infrastructures is still a huge challenge. And if you want to find out more about it, then join our R&D team in Munich!

  • You will gain insights into the realization of test and laboratory setups for programmable forwarding plane technology analysis, including configuration and validation of the system along relevant KPIs.

  • You support us in the field of testbed configuration, test execution & evaluation including meaningful documentation of results.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds.

  • You are currently studying Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or any comparable subject area, ideally with focus on communication technology.

  • Basic knowledge of programmable forwarding planes, e.g. Berkeley Packet Filter (BPF) etc., and Express Data Path (XDP) is required.

  • Moreover, you have already gained experience with Linux operating systems, ideally including real-time aspects.

  • Working experience with networking-related concepts, e.g. OSI layers, L2/L3 protocols, and concepts, e.g. TSN, is beneficial.

  • Very good written and oral English skills are required, German skills would be an asset.

  • Alternatively, the position can be filled as a compulsory internship, a bachelor’s or master’s thesis. The duration of the internship is based on the study regulations of your university.
