The Marketing Solution Architect is responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of marketing software solutions for Siemens Digital Industries Software in China. They are part of the global digital platforms team that is responsible for enhancing the customer experience and delivering self-service tools for our employees to support the entire customer journey. They report directly to the Chief Architect of the digital platforms team. They collaborate with the local marketing team and the digital platforms team to gather requirements, design systems and then work through local agencies, vendors and development partners for implementation, having a key role in both the specification and acceptance of the solution. They design solutions for demand generation and brand building for Siemens Digital Industries Software extensive portfolio of solutions across all industries. They have extensive understanding of the Chinese marketing technology landscape and look for ways to utilize and connect to the Siemens Digital Industries Software global marketing technology stack.
Manage requirements from a small group of local stakeholders
Develop system architectures that will deliver specific capabilities, making best use of local and global technologies.
Manage vendor relationships, including preparing request for quotations, reviewing statements of work, selecting vendors, reviewing work in process, and accepting final delivery
Complement understanding of local market with a deep understanding of the global platform and process to identify synergies and connection points.
Maintain a working knowledge of the business requirements and existing and emerging technologies and architectures that could be adopted to meet them
Lead architectural discussions within the organization and across the company
Define platform services and tools that are consumable by internal and external partners
Evaluate and recommend third party development utilities and components
Accountable for defining the priorities for migration from the legacy architecture based on business requirements.
Provide physical data models and direct support to application development teams
Skills and abilities:
Excellent Chinese and English Language written and verbal communications skills
Strong understanding of and extensive experience with modern cloud platform architectures and emerging technology. Specific experience with Alibaba a bonus.
History of delivering marketing solutions integrated with Weibo and WeChat.
Experience in implementing Marketing Automation / Marketing Cloud solutions.
Established relationship with Chinese marketing technology firms
Experience delivering solutions for the Chinese market within a global company.
Experience implementing a coherent normalized data model that spans multiple transactions systems
Knowledge of metadata management, data modeling, and related tools (Erwin or ER Studio or Team Server or others) required.
Experience in prepare conceptual and logical data models and prototypes.
Proven experience in an enterprise environment developing relational databases for Enterprise Transaction Processing Systems
Experience and in depth understanding of relational database modelling and structures.
Provide physical data models and direct support to application development teams during the transformation from logical data models to physical data models.
Experience developing data models for operational, transactional, and operational reporting
Experience enforcing data modeling standards and procedures.
Technically analyzes, designs and implements software automation of highly complex business processes for internal customers and external interfaces. Advises custom development, technical documentation, testing, and implementation. Interacts with system directors Sometimes acts as technical project manager, and often as a team leader, for a large project. Demonstrates expert proficiency within a critical combination of applied technical areas, such as ERP, CRM, PLM, web, database, or analytics development. Operates without supervision, with wide latitude for decision making and cross-team leadership. While without administrative (direct) employees, may perform the role of functional supervisor. Acts as IT leadership advisor.
