Job Description

As market leader on motor and drive manufacture, we, Large Drive Application (LDA) in Siemens, are developing global value sourcing in China hub for stronger profitability and sustainability.

What are my responsibilities?

Purchasing strategies & initiatives, global sourcing and supplier development & management:

Define sourcing strategies & initiatives based on business and market conditions, market analysis of material/products/services to be sourced & vendor profile in order to maximize purchase efficiency. Drive GVS strategies for global LDA demand in alignment with Global Commodity Management, Supplier Quality Management, Product Lifecycle Management and global locations.

Support the global LDA factories with sourcing from China in order to maximize purchase efficiency globally in any strategic sourcing arenas.

Identify, negotiate, and award new suppliers, Review and Reporting of KPIs and initiate potential counter measures. Management of outsourcing partners to ensure best cost, availability and quality together with cross functions.

Drive Cost Value Engineering in China:

Drive CVE initiatives in China but also being ambassador and coach for CVE methods such as target costing and pricing to cross functions in the factories. Cost benchmarking of LDA products to the market are as well to be conducted on global level.                                                               

People Management:

Manage a team of people with different Procurement functions and enable them to achieve their annual targets. Identify, recognize, and recommend rewards for performance in order to motivate the workforce and ensure smooth working.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

-        At least 10 years’ experience on Industry manufacturing (e.g. Motor / Drive branch) experience, with Min. 5 years in different functions including, Procurement, or Supplier Quality Management (SQM), or Product Lifecycle Management (R&D). Experience on Working with Global teams for min 5 years, International communication and intercultural experience (mainly EU & US)   

-        With working experience on Cost Value Engineering, understand and apply methods on cost reduction/ sourcing activity

-        3 years’ experiences in Leadership on procurement area

-        Fluent in English
