The Siemens Mobility division has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Support Professional to join our Siemens Mobility team, based at our Port Melbourne office. The Sales Support Professional completes several processes and activities during the sales process with respect to an effective administration of proposals and sales orders for an assigned organizational unit or customer target group, concerning both sales and after-sales processes.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Pro-actively expedites open sales orders and monitors delivery status to ensure committed schedules are adhered to
  • Implements mitigating actions where necessary to improve delivery performance for back orders
  • Ensures close cooperation with internal stakeholders (e.g. Procurement, Production, Engineering) and communicates up to date order status proactively with the end customer
  • Actively manages customer expectations with regards to delivery performance and lead times, while ensuring prioritization of orders to meet customer requirements
  • Generates regular open order reporting for key customers and proactively manages back orders and prioritization to meet customer requirements
  • Systematically analyses order management processes / delivery performance and makes proactive recommendations, taking ownership for driving improvements
  • Support the operational repair process including receipt of incoming goods, creation of purchase requisitions, service order contracting, dispatch for external repairs, receipt of repaired items, end customer dispatch, customer invoicing, and continuous improvement including raising of quality incidents
  • Support the operational resale orders including receipt of incoming goods, picking of parts, domestic and export customer dispatch, and continuous improvement including raising of quality incidents
  • Other SAP transactional activities as required

Skills and Experience

  • SAP SD and MM module experience preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a sales, supply chain, or operations environment
  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated capability to work across organizations and hierarchies, situational leadership.
  • Team player with ability to work within a small team environment
  • Self-motivated and diligent
  • Flexible and open to changing business environment and responsibilities
