Intern for HSR and Locomotive Department

Job Description

Siemens Mobility. Inc., is looking for an Intern to work in our Locomotives and High-Speed Trainset department in Sacramento, CA.

The incumbent will have an opportunity to work with Project Managers on our Locomotive and High-Speed projects domestically as well as internationally with our Headquarters in Germany. This includes autonomously working with our project team on small work packages in the project. The incumbent will attend internal and external meetings for the projects, work with our Project Managers and Engineers in the US and Europe on customer correspondence, documentation, production, commissioning and certification topics as well as on design and engineering topics. This is a great opportunity.

We are looking for someone with dedication that can work autonomously, is at least a Junior preferable with a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background. Working knowledge of Microsoft office programs is required. Documentation Management System knowledge (e.g. Aconex) and previous project management skills are a plus. The hours are 20+ hours per week, ideally distributed over 4 or 5 days per week, for 6 months with possible extensions.
