Locomotive Project Intern

Job Description

Siemens Mobility, Inc., is looking for an Intern to work in our Locomotive Department in Sacramento, CA. This department is part of a plant with 1,500+ employees, manufacturing railway vehicles for customers across North America.

The incumbent will have an opportunity to work with Project Managers and team members from various other functional departments such as operations, engineering, procurement, testing, quality management etc. on an exciting new Locomotive project and also interface with colleagues located internationally. The tasks include autonomously working with our project team on small work packages in the project. The incumbent will attend meetings for the project, work with our Project Managers and Engineers in the US and Europe on customer correspondence, documentation, Locomotive production, delivery as well as on design and engineering topics. This is a great opportunity.

We are looking for someone with a high level of dedication that can work autonomously, is at least a Junior preferable with an Engineering background (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial). Working knowledge of Microsoft office programs is required, as wells as effective communication skills, self-motivation and attention to detail. Documentation Management System knowledge and previous project management skills are a plus. Siemens will provide adequate equipment to work remotely as required.

The hours are 20+ hours per week for 6 months with possible extensions. This position will pay $20.00 per hour.
