Channel Manager (Distribution & Partner Sales)

The role and goal of the Channel Manager Distribution & Partner Sales (CDM) for the Siemens business Digital Connectivity and Power, is the development and implementation of a successful partner sales and support, with a strong focus on distributors selling Siemens products to their own customer base.
As a profound expert for the distribution partner business, the CDM considerably contributes to the partner network development identifying key requirements, addressing them through suitable set of sales activities to grow business with both existent and new partners. 

Main Tasks
  • Actively develop partner management business, strengthening the setup of international partner network, with a special focus on distributors covering single product up to system integration competence
  • Building and maintaining a customer-focused partner network community by preparing contacts, onboarding of new partners into the Siemens partner program as well as providing a suitable set of partner activities at fairs, events, webinars, and trainings 
  • Creation and implementation of distribution partner development plans, including regular progress controlling
  • Drive and develop comprehensive partner support, evaluating distributor’s markets and needs for the benefit of a suitable, customer- and partner-centric product offering 
  • Drive digitalization business models with partners, i.e. digital selling and e-business readiness coverage for distributors, incl. CAx, master data and comprehensive web shop support
  • Coordinate the realization of valuable marketing campaigns and the development of digital marketing activities, aligned with regional contacts
  • Contribute to set up and participate in suitable partner projects 
  • As interface between HQ and regional sales as well as partners, you are part of the HQ Sales Partner Management Team 
  • Representing partner sales, you will provide sales presentations and trainings for colleagues and partners 

Required Knowledge and Skills
  • University degree (Electrical Engineering or IT Network Technology preferred)
  • Work experience in product or partner sales with focus on automation technology, IT networking, preferably in industrial communication & identification
  • Experience in digital/web shop support and distributor sales
  • Project and sales experience very desirable
  • Selling of technical products requiring explanation
  • Confident presentation skills    
  • Very fluent English, German would be an advantage
  • Willingness to travel
