Baseline Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA 
  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for future or current sponsorship by the company
  • Preferred sophomore or later status
  • Able to work from St. Louis, MO without relocation assistance (The internship will be remote for the summer months. Return to office date is still undetermined.)

Industry Sales & Customer Success 
Demand Generation Representative Internship

The Demand Generation intern will work within the US business unit that supports the Americas Sales organization. The primary focus will be on outbound prospecting campaigns supporting all supported industries. Most of the work will be supporting outbound execution programs such as contact acquisition, cold calling and email execution to develop interest in the many Siemens Digital Industries Software products. These products include technology for engineering design, analysis, manufacturing and data management. Through product and sales enablement, the Demand Generation Rep will contact customers and prospects to understand current engineering and manufacturing processes to determine a current challenge. The interest is then routed through Salesforce.com (Customer Relationship Management) to the appropriate sales team. The intern should be excited about technology application, collaborate well, be highly organized and detail-oriented as well as self-motivated, goal-oriented and possess good interpersonal communication skills. 

The intern will engage in campaigns that will involve:
  • Executing outbound prospecting programs including calls and send emails
  • Contact acquisition through use of tools such as ZIDO, Linkedin and Salesforce.com 
  • Conducting customer conversations to better understand current manufacturing issues or concerns
  • Documenting all activity (phone calls/emails) using Salesforce.com
  • Developing Suspect Opportunities to be assigned to a sales team
  • Asking questions when they are not sure!

Organizational Requirements:
  • Major in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Has completed or currently enrolled in classes related to marketing, digital marketing, communications, or related fields
  • Experience with Salesforce.com highly desirable 
  • Strong, polished oral and written communications skills
  • Basic understanding and working experience with Microsoft Office tools
