Advanced Robotics Internship

Job Description

We are currently looking for an Advanced Robotics intern to work this summer in Berkeley, California. This intern must be able to work 30-40 hours a week.

The Challenge

During this internship, the person will experience the excitement and challenges of industrial research and be part of a world class team. This person will:

  • Conduct research and development in the area of advanced robotics 
  • Work on fast-paced co-creation projects with quickly changing requirements
  • Develop prototypes and proof of concepts as appropriate
  • Quickly test and modify a variety of open source algorithms
  • Create technical reports

The Candidate

Qualified candidates will have:

  • PhD, MSc or Bachelor students in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline 
  • Experience with robotic manipulation and robotic grasping
  • Implemented and debugged algorithms on real robot hardware
  • Familiarity with ROS development
  • C++, Python proficiency
  • Experience with machine vision for robotics and common sensing modalities such as RGB-D sensors
  • Deep Learning Experience (Deep Reinforcement Learning is a plus)
  • Valid driver’s license
