The Siemens Corporation Legal Department is looking for a law student, who has completed the first year of legal studies, who is interested in an eight to ten-week summer internship. The internship will provide the law student with an introduction to, and the opportunity to work on, real and challenging issues across this broad range of practice areas in a dynamic corporate environment. The intern will work side-by-side with Siemens professionals practicing in all areas of law, including commercial law, corporate law & governance, litigation, labor & employment, business finance, technology, antitrust, and mergers & acquisitions. Intern responsibilities will include, legal research and writing, contract drafting, attending meetings, and collaborating across functions.
You will be paired with a mentor who will answer questions, provide guidance on assigned projects, and act as a sounding board on issues. The mentor will also create networking opportunities within the Siemens organization, as well as with select external law firms who act as Siemens’ external counsel.Applicants must be:
- a full-time law student in good standing, who successfully completed the first year of legal studies;
- currently enrolled in an ABA accredited law school program for a Juris Doctor;
- enrolled as a student during the internship period; and
- entering the second year of law school in Fall of 2021.

- excellent oral and written communication skill;
- ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines; and
- ability to research and learn new concepts and issues.
Considering COVID-19, to protect the health and safety of all participants and their families, this internship will be virtual, with no relocation required.
