Siemens is pioneering the application of 4th Industrial Revolution digital technologies such as IOT to VSD applications to further increase performance and availability. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced technical sales professional to take responsibility for driving the market share of Siemens VSD systems in the African market, as well as adoption of the latest digital enhancements by both existing and new customers.

What are the responsibilities of the Role? ·       Develops market development and growth strategy for medium voltage drives in the African market ·       Supports the LDA sales organization in approaching and serving potential customers and advises both sales organization and customers in system capabilities and options ·       Serves sales organization and customers as an expert in product application and commissioning of medium voltage drives ·       Constantly analyses customers’ overall goals and objectives in order to optimise positioning of Siemens portfolio ·       Creates compelling technical and commercial concepts and offerings in order to support the sales process. ·       Drives the adoption of digital analytics and monitoring offering by supporting the sales organisation to identify and develop attractive use cases ·       Plans and completes consulting assignments to industry partners on technical and commercial level in order to build trust relationships with customers throughout the buying cycle.
  • Works closely with project engineering teams to optimise product selection
·       Develops and maintains strong networks with the international LDA factory and expert communities ·       Identifies and develops business opportunities based on industry and market developments What do I need to Qualify?

-          Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering (heavy current)

-          >5 Years’ experience in the analysis and specification of medium voltage drive systems

-          >10 years’ track record in product management and sales in a B2B setting


The candidate will be reporting to the Country Portfolio Company Manager.
