Our mission at Siemens Mobility Engineering
Together with our colleagues abroad, we develop state-of-the-art rolling stock. We focus both on the overall layout and on the design of particular systems. We develop innovative products in the segment of urban and rail transport vehicles. We can manage global projects and implement the entire project, from the definition of requirements, over SW/HW and mechanics development, to cross-sectional topics at the vehicle-wide level. 
 
What is the outcome of our work?
In the Train Control Group, we give life to the vehicles by engineering SW and HW control features. We thoroughly develop individual vehicle functions to the satisfaction of our customers. By creating non-energy-demanding, zero-emission transport systems, we help the Czech Republic, the EU, and the world meet targets in energy, climate, and the environment. 

We impact the lives of hundreds of thousands of passengers every day. You can travel on our metro in Vienna or in London or use our high-speed trains on the direct line between London and Amsterdam. You can even encounter the fastest loco in the world, Taurus, on Czech rails. 

What will be your responsibilities?
This role encompasses cross-sectional engineering functions to ensure software solutions for international projects for modern high-speed and regional trains. 
Examples of activities:
  • Clarifying diagnostics requirements with internal and external partners and the customer
  • Developing innovative diagnostic and service concepts, including support with implementation
  • Developing concepts for automated diagnostic tests 
  • Close project cooperation when setting schedules and complying with costs and deadlines
  • Validating diagnostic configurations through tests and analyses of diagnostic data
What do we expect? 
  • A Master's degree focused on electrical engineering, alternatively cybernetics 
  • At least two-year's experience in the development of control SW or diagnostic engineering
  • Knowledge of communication, analytical and other tools used in automation
  • Experience with testing, document creation, request analysis, interface specifications
  • Analytical approach to assigned tasks 
  • German for daily communication/or English for everyday communication and fundamentals of German
